Hi there! I'm Robert Rodriguez Jr, a landscape photographer, educator, and lifelong artist based in the inspiring Hudson Valley, New York. Over the past two decades, photography has been my way of sharing an emotional connection to the natural world—a connection rooted in awe and gratitude.

Why should I join the Creative Path Academy?

What's the difference between "Academy Member" and "Academy Plus" membership levels?

All members get access to all livestreams including the critique sessions where I select images from members on a rotating basis. This is similar to my previous "Creative Critique" sessions.

The "Academy Plus" level includes everything in the standard Member level, but adds one of the most important factors to lasting improvement: constructive feedback.

As a Plus Member, you'll be able to submit one image monthly for an in-depth personal written critique. I'll send you my notes and feedback on what's working, what's not working and why, and offer suggestions for improvement which you can reference and review in the future.

You'll also receive my suggested edits in Lightroom within your Raw file to help you improve your creative editing skills

I'm just starting out in photography. Can the CP Academy help me?

Absolutely! Regardless of whether you're a beginner or a veteran, we are all always expanding and exploring our understanding of the the fundamentals and principles of photography. Mastery is a process, not a destination, and therefore there is always more to learn at whatever stage you find yourself.

What photographic topics will be covered in the Academy?

The focus of the Academy in on the essential skills and concepts that you need to master in order to create compelling and meaningful images. Those topics will include:

Visual Storytelling
Composition and Visual Design
Creative post-processing (primarily in Lightroom)
Developing your photographic vision (including portfolio building)
Mindset and motivation
Learning from other artists (master photographers, painters, etc)
Fine art printing (for those who want to start and/or improve their printing skills.)
iPhone photography as a creative tool
Fundamental technical skills

And of course, image critiques and feedback will be a fundamental aspect to your growth in the Academy.

I'm also very open to your feedback and happy to discuss topics that are relevant to members. I'm also planning to have guest speakers in the future.
