Lightroom Classic Updates and Workflow Tips for Photographers
Lightroom Classic has been my digital darkroom of choice for many years, and with each new release Adobe adds tools that can either make our lives easier—or distract us if we’re not careful. Versions 14.4 and 14.5 introduce several updates that, when understood and applied with intention, can really help streamline your workflow.
I recently hosted a one-hour webinar (based on an earlier Creative Path Academy session) where I walked through these changes, highlighting the features that I think matter most for photographers who want to get the most out of Lightroom.
But beyond the new features, I also wanted to share how I use Lightroom in practice. During the webinar I demo my complete workflow on a recent black-and-white photograph I made with my iPhone. It’s a simple image, but that’s the point: the tools we choose and the way we apply them should always serve the photograph, not the other way around. Seeing a quick capture transformed into a finished print-ready file is a reminder that Lightroom is most powerful when it helps us clarify what drew us to a subject in the first place.
